The Fuzzy Duckling family
Starting (and running) your own business takes a lot of time and effort, but it is so rewarding. I absolutely love what I do and can't wait to get started working each day. My daughter has joined me in the business and we work together to create each and every one of the beautiful items we sell in our shop.
Where it all began
In 2015, my best friend was hosting a princess themed birthday party for her granddaughter's third birthday. I wanted to find something extra special for the birthday girl - something beautiful and unique that didn't come from a big box store. I live in a small town filled with boutiques, so I thought it would be easy to find exactly what I was looking for. Boy, was I wrong!
In desperation, I turned to Pinterest for ideas and stumbled on the idea of making a tutu for her to wear to her party. After many trips to the craft store and hours and hours of labor, I finished the dress. It was so beautiful and so much fun to make that I made another dress just like it for my friend's other granddaughter. The dresses were a huge hit at the birthday party and I was obsessed with the idea of turning this new hobby into something I could do full-time...
